"African American Artists on Paper" at SUNY Geneseo

Join SUNY Geneseo in celebrating African American artists Aug. 25 - Oct. 26 at the college's Lederer Gallery in Brodie Hall. "African American Artists on Paper" features works by established and emerging artists from New York, Ohio, New Jersey, Florida and Massachusetts.   Many of the artists have won significant awards for their work.  The exhibit includes prints, drawings, collage, watercolor and hand-made paper works, celebrating music, humanity and African American culture.  A reception is scheduled Sept. 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the gallery with a lecture by Cynthia Hawkins, director of galleries.  

The exhibition is free and open to the public.

How to Submit an Event

1) Click on Add New Event.

2) You will be asked to register on the website, or if you have already registered, you must enter your password. You will then be directed to the New Event Form.

3) Enter a Title and Description (in the Story Content box) for your event, including times, location, ticket cost, and contact information (name, phone number, e-mail address, etc.) where applicable.

4) To select a date for your event, simply find and click on the event date on the calendars, and click Add Event Date.  For multiple event dates, just repeat this step.  Please note there is a 10 date limit to all events.  To add an event with more than 10 dates, simply add a new event with the same title and description.

5) Click the Publish Story button to submit your event. Note: After submitting your event, the submission needs to be approved by 13WHAM before appearing live on the website.
