Wine Tasting Cruise on the Genesee River

Corn Hill Navigation is offering new twilight food and wine tasting excursions onboard Mary Jemison river boat – opportunities to sample hors d'oeuvres matched with wines from four of Rochester's finest restaurants while enjoying scenic views of the Genesee River, Erie Canal and spectacular downtown skyline at twilight.

Downtown Rochester's popular attraction, the historic wooden vessel Mary Jemison, will offer three of the excursions on Thursday August 28, Thursday September 18 and Thursday October 16. The twilight excursions will depart Corn Hill Landing at Exchange Boulevard on the Genesee River at 6 p.m. and return at 8 p.m. Boarding begins at 5:45 p.m. All passengers must be 21 or older to board. The fourth Tasting experience will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday November 13, after the canal closes, at Remington's Restaurant, 425 Merchants Road in Rochester. The outstanding Rochester restaurants that will host the food and wine tasting excursions characteristic of their distinguished cuisines are: August 28 2Vine Restaurant Selected regional wines paired with this fashionable bistro's signature fresh European country cuisine made with locally grown, in-season ingredients. Onboard Mary Jemison September 18 Virtu Restaurant "Everything but the classic" wines matched with inventive appetizers from this upscale riverside restaurant. Onboard Mary Jemison October 16 Hawthorne's Restaurant A harvest theme will pair selected wines and classic hors d'oeuvres from this well-known restaurateur and caterer.
How to Submit an Event

1) Click on Add New Event.

2) You will be asked to register on the website, or if you have already registered, you must enter your password. You will then be directed to the New Event Form.

3) Enter a Title and Description (in the Story Content box) for your event, including times, location, ticket cost, and contact information (name, phone number, e-mail address, etc.) where applicable.

4) To select a date for your event, simply find and click on the event date on the calendars, and click Add Event Date.  For multiple event dates, just repeat this step.  Please note there is a 10 date limit to all events.  To add an event with more than 10 dates, simply add a new event with the same title and description.

5) Click the Publish Story button to submit your event. Note: After submitting your event, the submission needs to be approved by 13WHAM before appearing live on the website.
